BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The weather is getting colder, and the special school matinees at BTE are starting to fillvup! In November and December, the Alvina Krause Theatre in downtown Bloomsburg will be filled with the sounds of school students in the audience and on stage when Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble presents Charles Dickens’ holiday classic, ‘A Christmas Carol.’

Few school matinees for ‘A Christmas Carol’ remain available for bookings, as several have sold out already.

Limited availability on the following matinee dates: December 6, 7, 8, 14, and 20. Matinees are suitable for all grade levels. All school matinees begin at 10:00 am, costing $9.50 for all audience members. These matinees fill quickly, so school representatives are encouraged to call soon for the best seating availability. This new adaptation by Resident Acting Company member Aaron White features live music and puppetry. Don’t let your students be left out! This 19th production of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, in BTE’s 45th anniversary season is not to be missed. From the first ghostly rattle of Jacob Marley’s chains, to the frivolity of the Fezziwig’s party, to the ominous predictions of the Ghost of Christmas Future, students from
kindergarten through high school will travel through time along with Ebenezer Scrooge as he is confronted by the boy he was, the man he has become, and the fate that awaits him if he fails to change.

This production is sponsored by First Columbia Bank & Trust, SAM CAPITA, Innotek Computer Consulting, Hanna FM, Bigfoot Country, Viamedia, WNEP-TV, and MCFCU.
