Berwick

Berwick Borough is now gathering public feedback to inform the development of a connected, accessible and art-focused Parks Master Plan. The project is part of the Columbia County Placemaking Initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Placemaking Innovation Challenge.

The Community Survey asks for your input about the current state of parks in the borough, as well as what you would like to see in the future. Take the project survey at ourplacecolumbia.com to learn more and help guide long-term planning decisions for Berwick — you can tell them that we need more public art!

If you would like to access the survey directly, you can do so at surveymonkey.com/r/HHPF5B6.

Join us as we reveal the Nanny’s Room! The only domestic help to live with the Jackson family in the mansion, was Helen Jameson or as the family called her – Maggie. Her room is being sponsored by Marilyn Gibbons in memory of her husband Joseph Gibbons and in honor of their children.

During the room opening you will get a chance to see the P.T. Barnum inspired Jumbo wallpaper, rare mechanical money banks, and an early sewing machine.

Tickets are $15 for non-members, $10 for Berwick Residents and $7.50 for Berwick Historical Society Members. Tours will take place on Saturday, May 25th at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., & 2:00 p.m.

Additionally, free tours of the David A. Sadock House will be available between 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
