The Bloomsburg Children’s Museum is excited to announce our partnership with the Bloomsburg Area YMCA for a day of spring fun for the whole family.

On Saturday, March 23rd from 10 am-12 pm, the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum will host our annual Chick and Bunny Day.

Join us for a chance to see baby chicks and bunnies. Make sure to bring your cameras as kids can get a chance to look and pet some of the baby chicks. There will also be a collection of chick and bunny-themed crafts and activities for everyone to enjoy. The event is open to all and included with museum admission.

Next door to the museum, the Bloomsburg Area YMCA will be hosting their annual Easter egg hunt from 11:30 am-1:30 pm.

Kids can participate in an exciting easter egg hunt in their outdoor greenspace.  The age ranges for the event are as follows: Birth-3 years old, 4-6 years old, and 7-9 years old. Who knows, there may even be a visit from the Easter Bunny! In the case of rain, the Easter egg hunt will be moved to March 24th, 12 pm-2 pm.

Shelby Kellner, the Assistant Director of the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum, said, “We are excited to host Chick and Bunny Day as a celebration of the joys that spring brings to our lives. It’s a time to appreciate the beauty of nature, spend quality moments with loved ones, and create lasting memories. Chick and Bunny Day isn’t just about entertainment – it’s an opportunity to educate and instill a sense of responsibility towards our furry friends. The event includes educational tables on animal care, fostering a love and respect for the creatures that share our world.”

Misti Steward, the Director of Membership and Marketing for the Bloomsburg Area YMCA, said, “The Bloomsburg Area YMCA’s Easter Egg Hunt is an annual event that is free and open to everyone. This event is made possible due to generous donations from our members and our community. It’s an opportunity for families to bring their children from age 0 to 9 and have tons of family fun! Once in a while, we are able to get the Easter Bunny to join us. We hope to see you there!”
