SUMMER 2023 – Our Forty – Ninth Season!
 The Eagles Mere Friends of the Arts is an organization dedicated to presenting professional musical programs and other cultural events of high quality to the community of Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding area.
The 2023 program offers 14 indoor and outdoor concerts, the East Coast premiere of the play, The Forever Question, and a special 3-day weekend of dance. The 13 art/drama/music classes will appeal to a variety of ages and skill levels. Thursday night’s Brain/Food offers movies, books, lectures and poetry discussions at 7 PM, following a pot luck supper at 6 PM. Check out July’s CALENDAR.

A Super Exciting Summer with so many Eagles Mere folks in the line-up
Concert on the Village Green featuring Jeff Klemens and Jason Bookman with their band, Copstache, an alt-country band from Philadelphia on Wed., July 5th at 6:30 PM. Their music is influenced by John Prine’s bleak-ness, wit, and wisdom.
Writer/director Joe Hall will present his independent film, THE ROAD TO GALENA (2022), the story of a young man’s journey to personal fulfillment. Learn how Joe followed his dream to become a filmmaker.

Harriet Power will be very busy this July as director of the comedy, The Forever Question on July 29th, 8 PM.
She will also be leading a Brain/Food program on July 20 with the playwright and actors
and Constructing a Play classes on July 17-28, 8 sessions, 5:30-8:30 PM.
Barry Noone lectures from his new book on the progress of plastic surgery from the trenches of World War I to today’s hand and face transplants at Brain/Food, Aug. 3 at 7 PM. Book available on Amazon for Barry to sign that night.
James Sutton, choreographer and NYU Professor of the Arts, is intimately involved in the Dance Weekend. On Aug. 10th, at 7 PM, he will give a lecture and presentation, Invitation to the Dance, at Brain/ Food. This will be followed by performances from NY Ballet members on Aug. 11 and The Philadelphia Dance Theatre on Aug. 12.
