This Day in History: 1924 Winter Olympics
Saturday, February 5; 10-12:00 p.m.

On February 5th, 1924 the first winter Olympics closed at Chamonix, France. In 1924, there was only 16 events in the winter Olympics, now there is over 90! Learn about these original 16 events and create your own gold medal! Included in Museum admission.

Infectious Intelligence
Monday, February 7, 5-7:00 p.m.

Middle and High School-aged students will design and build tethered robots using engineering design concepts. Robots will be created to compete in a competition. Kids in the Kitchen– Chocolate

The Zoo Comes to You

Electric City Aquarium is bringing all sorts of exotic animals for you to get an up-close encounter with! Meet a Tarantula – Poison Dart Frogs – Gila Monster – Variable King Snake – Russian Tortoise, and Tegu. Plus a special mammal guest from their new rainforest exhibit and a “touchable reptile” like a giant snake or tortoise.We are having a special guest – Molli Petro and her agility bunnies! Molli is Pennsylvania State Rabbit Breeders Association Royalty! Ms. Petro will have several different kinds of rabbits kids can interact with and will also demonstrate the bunny agility course. Introduction to Arduino
Saturday, February 19; 10-12:30 p.m.

This is a hands-on introduction class on physical computing using the popular Arduino microcontroller platform. Students will learn how to put together simple electronic circuits and write programs to create projects that light up, move and make a sound. We will use the Seed Studio Grove Kit for Arduino which is a beginner kit but is expandable and grows with the student. Students keep their Arduino kit ($34.00 value). No experience is necessary.
