Truvy’s beauty salon is a place where all the ladies can offer friendship and understanding to each other in a safe, man free environment.  The play begins with hilarious repartee and humorously revealing verbal collisions and moves toward tragedy.  The sudden realization of their mortality affects the ladies and draws them closer together through their underlying strength and love.
