The inspiration for this piece came from two Bucknell Life-Long-Learning classes, “Northwest Coast Indian Tribes” and “The Life and Artworks of Louise Nevelson”.  Horrific news stories of kidnappings, murders, and treatment of indigenous women have been printed and talked about, but with all the focus on the virus and protest, this past year the plight of our sisters seems lost.  The feathers, stones, sage, and horse are meaningful in the cultures of our native people.  As we raise our heads out of this quarantine, we realize more strongly then ever that All Lives Matter.
