Early Music Ensemble VOX LUMINIS, Motets and Cantatas of the Bach Family

Vox Luminis, on tour from Belgium with 17 musicians (10 singers & 7
instrumentalists: 2 violins, 2 violas, viola da gamba, organ, theorbo),
presents “The Arnstadt Connection,” featuring vocal and instrumental
music–motets and cantatas–by Johann Sebastian Bach, Dietrich Buxtehude,
and Bach’s family predecessors connected with the German town of Arnstadt,
where several generations of Bachs contributed to musical life for more
than 200 years.
