August 24, 2019
The twelfth annual ArtFest will take place on Saturday, the 24th of August, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in its wonderful location on the Town Square, from the fountain up Market Street to Ridge Avenue and continuing up towards First Street. We will have more than 35 artists exhibiting and non-profit organizations taking part, along with regional musical acts and food trucks. The new location got rave reviews its first two years, and we look forward to the show there again in 2019!
Dedicated to bringing the arts to all communities throughout our region, The Exchange again presents Columbia County’s biggest one-day outdoor art event of the year.
The 2018 ArtFest showcased almost 40 regional artists’ original work, accompanied by live music, local food, and activities for the whole family, including six local non-profits’ booths. A summertime art party, ArtFest draws attendees from throughout our region, and it draws artists from near and far as well. Exhibitors included painters, photographers, potters, jewelers, sculptors, glass artists, fabric artists, woodworkers, a bonsai grower, and more.
The complete listing of exhibitors, food vendors, and music is in the works. Check back for updates.
Activities for families at the event included The Exchange’s Art Cart, using simple materials – many of them recycled – to help bring out the beauty inside every person; the United Way of Columbia and Montour County also brought a hand-printing project for kids of all ages to do.
The Exchange thanks the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau and Downtown Bloomsburg, Inc., for their sponsorship of ArtFest; the event also receives support from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
