TThe Community Theatre League (CTL) invites audiences of all ages to experience the magic of the holiday season with The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, a heartwarming and hilarious family-friendly production featuring a large and diverse cast of local performers.
Performances will run from December 6-8 and December 12-15, with showtimes at 7:30 PM on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and 2:00 PM Sunday matinees. This beloved holiday classic is proudly sponsored by Hudock Capital.
Directed by local talent Marie Fox, the production boasts a cast of over 40 performers, ranging from young children to seasoned actors. “This show truly highlights the incredible talent we have in our community,” said Fox. “It’s not just a story about the holidays—it’s about coming together, finding joy in unexpected places, and celebrating the bonds that unite us.”
The story follows the Herdman children, a rowdy group of misfits who unexpectedly take over the town’s annual Christmas pageant. What starts as chaos turns into a touching and heartfelt celebration of the true meaning of Christmas, filled with laughs and surprises along the way.
CTL’s Executive Artistic Director Seth Sponhouse expressed his excitement for this production: “There’s something magical about seeing our stage filled with performers of all ages. This production shines with a dynamic ensemble cast of performers of all ages, showcasing the heart and humor of the story. From the mischievous Herdman children to the angel choir, shepherds, and the many colorful characters that fill the stage, each cast member plays an essential role in bringing this holiday classic to life with warmth and charm.
