The Wellsboro Art Club will be hosting Filomena Jack for two plein air (outdoor) painting classes for children on Saturday, June 29 th . Students will learn how to better observe their surroundings and record what they see. The project’s intention is to help students learn new skills while focusing on the interesting things around them. Students will use quality papers, pens, brushes, and watercolor paints, which will be provided. They will learn about color theory, design, and use of tools. Students will keep their projects and supplies at the end of class. These classes are intended to teach children the basics of painting outside (en plein air) so that they can feel confident enough to participate in the Wellsboro Art Club’s upcoming Wellsboro Wilds Plein Air Festival that will be held on Sept 13 th and 14 th of this year.
