Oil Painting with Rita Millard

Friday, November 5th, 5-8:00 p.m.

Spend a Friday night with Rita Millard to create a themed oil painting. She enjoys painting with watercolor and oils to capture the history of landscapes and architecture, as well as floral and nature, and portraits of animals and people. Suggested for ages 16+, $50 (all materials are included).

Acrylic Painting with Rita Millard

Join Rita Millard on the 2nd Saturday of each month to create a themed acrylic painting. Rita is a member of the North Mountain Art League. DIY Gingerbread Class with Linda Hill

Saturday, December 13th, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Join us to create your own graham cracker house. The instructor (Linda Hill) will provide you with directions and the royal icing that will be used to “glue” our edible creations together. To comply with Covid guidelines, creators will have their own carrel to sit at and we will only be able to share candies that are wrapped. Mrs. Hill will have some items to share with everyone and copies for you to follow. The price is $10 per person. Recommended that students under 10 have an adult stay to help (no charge for helper). Infectious Intelligence

Monday, November 1st, 5-7:00 p.m.

Middle and High School-aged students will design and build tethered robots using engineering design concepts. Robots will be created to compete in a competition. Sketch up, technical drawing, circuits, mechanical engineering, critical thinking, and mathematical skills will be taught.

Teddy Bear Clinic

Saturday, November 13th, 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

At Museum students will walk in the shoes of health professionals by guiding their “patient” through a clinic experience. Students will become familiar with medical equipment, resolve common misconceptions about the healthcare environment and lay the groundwork for healthy choices. Included with Museum admission.

Turkey Day

Saturday, November 20th, 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Families are invited to a day of feathery fun at the museum with turkey crafts and games, plus get your picture taken with live turkeys! Included with Museum admission.

Adopt a Cow–Meet Olive!

Saturday, November 27th, 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Join us on Saturday, November 27th to learn about our adopted cow, Olive, and our host farm. Included in Museum admission. The Bloomsburg Children\’s Museum has \”adopted\” a cow through Discover Dairy. We will be sharing monthly updates on Olive through social media and emails.
