Living History Day

History comes alive! Learn about living in years past. Enjoy listening to presentations, learning through educational interpretation, hands-on demonstrations and exploring various booths. Join the Daughters of the American Revolution as they do a demonstration based on the book “Gingerbread for Liberty!” This event is included in regular admission.

This Saturday morning story time-art-studio-mashup is a whole lot of fun for your little ones ages 2-6. Story time ignites preschoolers’ imaginations for creating hands-on art activities exploring colorful book themes and characters. Build language skills, color recognition, and small motor skills.

Introduction to Tap Dancing

Come learn the basics of tap dancing with Bob Lippi. No experience needed! Tap shoes provided. Suggested for ages 10+. Included with regular admission.

Fine Arts Mini Camp

Students will get individualized instruction in fine art techniques. The camp will start off with an introduction to drawing and shading with different types of pencils and techniques for shading. Students will be asked to stop and think about what they are drawing while learning about blind contouring and then try their hand at India ink rapid drawing!

June 28-July 2, 10-11 a.m.

Preschool Under the Sea Summer Camp

Join the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum this summer and dive right into this summer camp. Preschool campers will dip their toes in the sea, explore the depths of the ocean, make friends with a squid and cuddle an octopus…without even getting wet or jumping into a submarine! Every day will be an exploration of a different part of our beautiful oceans and the creatures that live there!

In order to maintain a safe public space for our guests and comply with our community standards, masks are required for entrance to the Museum. The Children’s Museum has increased sanitation of all touchable surfaces, removed many loose exhibit pieces to reduce touchable surfaces, instituted “Discovery Bags” to still allow hands-on participation for individual learners, and increased air exchange in the Museum.
