Reprising the postcard show “Let Me Introduce Myself” that the Exchange Gallery held in 2016 (photo above), we now ask artists to submit work for “Bridging the Physical Distancing Postcard Show”, an on-line exhibition.

We’d like artists to make postcards and send them to other artists — so if you make and send one, you will also receive one!  If you would like to participate, e-mail your postal mailing address to us at [email protected]; we will randomly send it to one of the other artists, and we will send another randomly-chosen name and address to you for you to send your artwork to.

After you make your artwork but before you send it, please photograph it and e-mail us that photo; likewise, when you receive the artwork from the other artist, please photograph the front and back and e-mail us both of those photos.

Postcards come in two sizes/prices, you may choose either one (artists responsible for all postage.):

First-Class Mail® Postcards — maximum size: 6 inches long by 4-1/4 inches high by .016 inch thick, postage 35 cents

First-Class Mail® Stamped Large Postcards — maximum size: 11-1/2 inches long by 6-1/8 inches high by 1/4 inch thick, postage 55 cents (a Forever® stamp)

We would like to have the names and addresses of participating artists as soon as possible, and no later than Friday, the 1st of May, and we encourage you to put your pieces in the mail by Monday, the 4th of May.  We will start posting the photos into the Exhibits page on our Web site and onto our Facebook page as soon as they start coming in.

Looking forward to having you all help bridge the distancing!
