Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble (BTE) wants to offer a special perk for Federal Employees who are affected by the Government Shutdown. Any employee who can show some form of ID (i.e. a badge, Federal ID number, business card, etc.) will be able to see our upcoming two shows at no cost! To participate, individuals simply have to stop by the Box Office at 226 Center Street in Bloomsburg or call 570-784-8181 to make their reservation.

The first of which is John Graham, Magician & Mentalist. John is described as both an amazing magician and as a hilarious comedian. However, it’s his unique blending of the two that makes him a world class entertainer. His performances have been called “almost like a conversation with the audience.” But an amazing, fun, funny, uplifting conversation. And maybe even with a few life lessons along the way. On stage for three days only – Friday, January 25 & Saturday, January 26 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 3:00 pm.

The following weekend Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble will produce Industrious Angels by Laurie McCants from January 31 – February 3, 2019. Industrious Angels is a solo hand-crafted-story-spinning-shadow-puppet-memory-play-with-music evoking the secret creative lives of women, mother/daughter bloodlines, and the ghost of Emily Dickinson. In a shadowed attic, crammed with curio cabinets, work tables, chests and drawers (containers for mementos and unmentionables), a daughter searches for what it is that ties together her mother, herself, and an elusive poet. Industrious Angels is directed by Sabrina Hamilton. Perfect for those who love Dead Poets Society, Coraline, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, and BTE audiences fascinated by The Women’s Solo Performance Festival.

Be sure to contact the Box Office for group rate opportunities, starting at just eight people.

Ticket prices are $28 for a regular adult, $24 for a young adult (ages 30 or younger), $24 for a senior ticket (ages 60 and older), $14 for a student (grade school through college), and $10 for Bloomsburg University students with a valid BU ID.
